Micro’s Orifice Plates have been in use since 1968. Micro offers a complete range of orifice plates for a variety of flow conditions for mounting between flanges, for carrier Rings and with RJ Plate Holders for mounting between RJ Flanges, for Carriers Rings and with RJ Plate Holders for mounting between RJ flangs.

Weld in Orifices Plates welded directly in branch pipes are also undertaken for high temperature and pressure service where flange mounting is not desired. Micro Orifice Plates are designed and machined to perfection and maintained accuracy and finish requirement of International Standards e.g. AGA REPORT 3, ASME MFC-3M, ASME 19.5, ISO 5167/BS1042, R.W. MILLER and L>K> SPINK etc.

Micro Orifice Plates are manufactured from quality materials e.g. AISI 316, 316L, 304L, 321, Monel, Hastelloy  C, Duplex, Super Duplex, PTFE, etc.

Micro offers following types of orifice:

Concentric  Square Edge Orifice Plate: These plates are most commonly used devices for flow measurement for clean liquids, gasses and low velocity vapour (steam) flows. These plates have a sharp, Square edged hole bored in a flat thin plate with or without bevel at the outlet depending on size & usage. These plates are also used for Restricting flows and Dropping pressure.

 
 
 
   

Conical Entrance & Quadrant Edge Orifice Plate:These plates are used for low Reynolds number  (generally below 10,000) and give more constant / predictable discharge coefficient. At. Lower Reynolds numbers, the discharge coefficient of square by as much as 30%. These are more usable for viscous service.

 
  Segmental & Eccentric Orifice Plates : These plates are most useful where there are substantial entrained water / air and also of there are suspension in the fluids. Of the Orifice Plates The Orifice hole is placed at the bottom and top for liquids.
